What is Colloidal Silver?
Silver is a naturally occurring metal that has
been depleted from our commercial top soils -- along with many other essential nutrients
-- since the 1930's.
Colloidal Silver is no new great
secret. Producing a colloid is simply a process, and colloids of zinc, gold
and copper are as easily made as are those of silver. What's so startling is the
sweeping and proven effectiveness of colloidal silver in the face of disease causing

A colloid of
silver is a conductive aqueous (water) base within which are suspended any given
concentration of electrically charged minute silver particles. It is generated (the
process occurs) by sending an electrical current through two silver electrodes which are
suspended in conductive water. In the process of the charged particles attempting to
break off from one electrode and attach to the other, minute, charged particles are
suspended in the solution.
What Can Colloidal Silver Do?
Nothing can kill a virus? Colloidal Silver CAN!

it is generally and widely thought by the majority of consumers that a viral cell cannot
be eliminated with any substance in pharmaceutical arsenals, the fact is that
colloidal silver can

viral cell -- and was included in the United States Pharmecopedia up until

risks or benefits of the use of colloidal silver were non-verifiable and thus
inappropriate for modern medical reference.

from UCLA has proven that of all the known and tested bacterium and virus single celled
entities which were tested, all were utterly eliminated within 6 minutes of exposure to
colloidal silver!

However, research is ongoing in other countries where the FDA is of little or no
influence. Switzerland is currently involved in colloidal
silver research with AIDS and Cancer. Hopefully international research will
soon become available and affluent, interested individuals will begin to fund independent
short and long-term research.
Is Colloidal Silver Safe?
There have never been any reported side effects associated with colloidal silver.
There have recently arisen concerns over a rare but
viable disease known as
Argyria which has been associated with the ingestion
of certain silver compounds.
However,
it is thought that this disorder has occurred from the ingestion of large particles of silver
(colloidal silver particles by comparison are far far smaller, at generally .015 to.001
microns in size). Argyria is believed to be cosmetic in nature and amounts to the
graying of skin due to an accumulation of silver in the tissues.
Again, so as to avoid confusion, please realize that Argyria is NOT
associated with colloidal silver.
The size of a
particle of silver made from an electro-process colloid solution is far smaller than the
size of a ground particle of silver. A mammal cell is generally 10 to
100 microns in size, meaning that the great difference in size between a mammalian
cell and a particle of colloidal silver is drastic enough, it is believed by many
researchers, to allow the colloid silver particle easy access into and out of cellular
tissue. Even a viral cell ~ the smallest known pathogen ~ is from 20 to 50 microns (still
much larger than the colloidal silver particle of .015 microns or smaller).
Why Not
Just Buy Colloidal Silver In Commercially Prepared Form?
Certainly
you could buy colloidal silver in commercially prepared form, but
why
spend up to $20.00 an ounce for what you can make at home on the kitchen table for
pennies.
Further,
by making your own colloidal silver solution, you know exactly what goes
into it ~ and what does not. Some unscrupulous manufacturers may add
undesirable additives like colorant or even tea in order to produce the yellow tint which
consumers have been led to believe is desirable. The fact is, that the yellow tint comes
from the oxidation of the silver particles within the solution and whether you produce a
tinted version of colloidal silver or not has little or nothing to do with the potency or
bio-availability of your solution.
Additives like
proteins can also be included in some commercially prepared colloidal silver
solutions. The proteins and silver molecules adhere to one another and appear to
keep the colloidal particles in suspension acting to seemingly extend the shelf life of
the product. As a consumer, you should realize that after a few weeks, the
electrically charged particles in any colloid will naturally loose their charge
and settle out. Additives like proteins can simply deceive the
consumer into believing they have purchased a fresh product.
And it is thought that
much of what contributes to silver's effectiveness is the very electrical charge that
keeps it in solution without the aid of carrier molecules like proteins. Further,
once a silver particle adheres to a protein molecule, you then have a much larger
molecular structure which may inhibit the free circulation of silver throughout the
cellular tissues.
Can
you determine how long a commercially prepared solution has been sitting in warehouse
boxes, in trucks, on shelves? No.
Also, by
purchasing commercially prepared colloidal silver solutions, you are financially limiting
yourself to the array of wondrous benefits silver has to offer. Are you likely to
disinfect counter tops, or steering wheels, or hands, or fruits and vegetables at $20.00
